I have a special place in my heart for Civil War Veterans. Each time I find one who is an ancestor of me, my husband or my "kids in laws" as I call them, I research them to write their stories. Over the years I have found about 12. Most of them survived the war. While I have posted shorter stories about some of them, I have never posted each of their full stories.
